World cup no. 1 is just around the corner with 7 weeks to go. Time flies when you are having fun huh.
I´m sitting at home right now, snowing outside and this morning we had –17. Not the ideal set-up to train but it´s also good in a way that we have propper winter back home as i would kill for a ride on my bike right now and thinking of spring-time & riding keeps me going.
Right now we are waiting for our bikes to roll in, some bits & pieces are already here but this time of year always seem like the big waiting-game.
I can´t describe how happy i am to be riding Intense and still be in the same relaxed set-up we had last year. There was a couple of issues we had last year wich we shouldn´t have to go through now and it just feels pretty solid.
Training has been going pretty good for me & Niklas. Last year he was still rehabing prettymuch untill after christmas but now we are a bit more at the same phase so it´s been a bit easier & "fun" (if off-season training can be?).
We have spent hours skiing, done hours on the HT, lifted weights at the gym and i feel pretty fit but i miss riding a dh-bike a lot. Pretty over lifting weights & doing intervalls til i puke on the trainer.
Luckely we have got a indoor bmx-track close to home aswell as a pretty good skatepark but riding a hardtail is never the same but guess it will do for now.
Our new team-member Jakob visited us last weekend. It was good to hang out for a few days as we don´t realy know eachother that well yet. We hit the gym, had a bmx-track-session and rode a bit of enduro at our house wich was pretty fun.
Been trying to get a very minimum of 1 day a week on the moto but i haven´t been to any tracks just riding enduro at the moment.
Sort of trying to realize that i´m not on my way to ride any AMA´s and riding enduro is more like riding dh then riding MX so enduro it is...And it´s so damn good to just start the bike at home, go out riding and thats it. No time spent trucking, loading etc. Just riding!
Going to ride some ski-jumps as soon as the bikes turn up stay tuned for some pics & videos!
